Community Committee agenda published

The agenda for the next meeting of the Inner South Community Committee, made up of the nine Councillors for our three wards: Beeston & Holbeck, Hunslet & Riverside and Middleton Park, has been published.

The meeting, which is open to the public, is taking place at the United Reformed Church, Nesfield Road, Belle Isle, LS10 3LG on Thursday 21 November 2024 starting at 1:30pm.

The meeting starts with an Open Forum, this is an opportunity for members of the public to ask questions or raise issues directly with their Councillors. You do not have to submit them in advance, you can just turn up and speak.

The committee is also responsible some Council functions in the area such as street cleaning and youth services; and it manages a well-being budget that funds large and small projects and the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood Fund. Projects under consideration at this meeting include:

  • Cottingley Community Centre (Health For All)
  • Live Well (Hamara HLC)
  • Middleton Park Christmas Events (LCC)
  • Speed For Sport Sprint Competition for Children (Speed For Sport)
  • SCORE Development Centre (ISSE Ltd)
  • From Bangladesh to Beeston – Our Story (ISSE Ltd)
  • Brilliant Beeston Hill (St Luke’s CARES)
  • Cottingley MUGA (multi use games area) Lighting (LCC)
  • Inner South CCTV Cameras (Leeds Watch)
  • Middleton Park Boulders (LCC)
  • Leeds Inner South Menopause and Midlife Health Support Pilot (Best Midlife CIC)
