The St Luke’s CARES Community Awards reaches its crescendo next Thursday (24 May 2018) and everyone’s invited to the party!
Back in January we helped St Luke’s CARES launch the scheme which saw 23 wonderful community projects in South Leeds tell their story and ask for a grant. An independent panel met in March to whittle that down to a shortlist of five:
Then in April shoppers at St Luke’s CARES shops in Beeston and Middleton voted for the project that they felt should receive the three grants of £1,000, £750 and £250.
Jackson Turner, Manager at St Luke’s CARES said:
“It’s been great to read about all the fabulous projects and now it’s time to celebrate the winners. Next Thursday is party time! Come down to the St Luke’s CARES charity shop on Dewsbury Road at 4pm where we will be celebrating all the great work of community groups across South Leeds.”
