BasementArtsProject is running a series of carving workshops over the coming months. These will be taking place on the land where Jacob’s Ladder by artist Keith Ackerman is sited at the edge of Tunstall Road.
With the sculpture finished and upright we are now working on the next phase of the project; two stone benches made from the same 260,000,000 year old stone as the sculpture itself.
The benches are being created to echo the rough vs smooth surfaces of the sculpture itself, and we invite you to come and join us in doing this.
Each session will be 1-2-1 with the artists John Barber and Keith Ackerman and will last about an hour. No experience is needed. Suitable for 11+ You can either book in advance by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/e/carving-on-the-corner-tickets-400068043287
