Caring company creates 300 new jobs

A Beeston-based care provider company that cares for its staff as well as its clients is recruiting new staff.

The organisation is not only promising staff a guaranteed hours contract, but will also be offering them the Leeds Living Wage of £8.01p per hour.

“This is significantly more than is usually paid in this sector,” said Dr Guy Turnbull, Managing Director and a founder of CASA.

“And it represents CASA’s commitment is to ensuring that our staff as well as our clients are well looked after.”

CASA Leeds – part of the Care and Share Associates Group – was recently chosen as one of only four main providers working with the city council to provide a range of social care services.

The major contract win means that CASA is now looking to recruit around 300 people to fulfill the roles, with the added incentive of an exciting bonus package for employees.

Casa (70)

CASA is an award-winning employee owned social enterprise which re-invests profit into its workforce and services, with all employees receiving free shares, a profit share scheme, and other employee benefits.

At the same time, the profits ploughed back into the company are enabling it to invest more in staff development and training.

CASA employees receive a range of benefits when they join the company which includes an exclusive online scheme offering money saving offers and discounts across a wide range of high street retailers, a tax free ‘cycle to work’ scheme with bikes provided by Halfords, preferential credit union membership, tax free child care vouchers and later this year the introduction of a life insurance scheme.

CASA’s ethos has always been “people before profit” and its structure means that all employees have a vested interest in its success.

The company is now offering a range of care services to people across Leeds which allows them to live independently and in their own homes.

Jobs are available across a range of different areas including care managers, co-ordinators, supervisors and home support workers.

No previous experience is necessary for some of the posts, with full training given.
