The people of Beeston are being encouraged to show their community pride and join in the cleaning up of two corners of the area.
Two community clean ups are set to take place in Beeston next week: one in the Tempest Road area and another on the Parkwood Estate.
On Monday Aire Valley Homes have organised a Community Clean Up of the Parkwood Estate. They will be joined by Councillors, Neighbourhood Police and the Council’s Locality team. Two skips are being provided, one on Parkwood Road and one on Parkwood Crescent.
Residents are urged to come and join the clean up which meets outside the old community centre on Parkwood Road at 10:00am.
On Thursday the Love Beeston? Clean Beeston! campaign, organised by the South Leeds Community Alliance, will tackle rubbish in the area around Maud Avenue and Park View Primary Academy (just off Tempest Road). Again, residents will be joined by the Police and Council staff.
Residents are asked to meet at the cafe in the Hamara Centre on Tempest Road for a briefing at 10:45am.
