Buildings lit pink for breast cancer awareness

Last Saturday (1 October 2016) saw 22 buildings all turn pink as part of Leeds Lit Pink.

The event launched Breast Cancer Haven’s ’31 events in 31 days’ fundraising initiative which runs throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

Amongst the building lit up in pink were the White Rose Shopping Centre, Leeds Dock, the Royal Armouries and Bridgewater Place.

Breast Cancer Haven is a national charity providing personalised care and support for people with breast cancer, helping them to achieve the best possible quality of life. Their trained professional nurses, therapists, counsellors and advisers listen to individual concerns and give practical, emotional and physical support.
