Anyone interested in the future of the former Tetley’s brewery site and general redevelopment of that part of ‘old’ Hunslet should check out the Leeds Sustainable Development Group’s website.
The group is a network of individuals who share a commitment to their city and want to work together to make it better.
They hold regular meetings and are interested in the area immediately to the south of the city centre where there are proposals to create a ‘new’ community in south Leeds, consisting of homes, offices, businesses, a new city centre park on the Tetley’s site and possibly a new school.
The council proposals will undoubtedly have an impact on other parts of south Leeds, especially the adjoining areas of Hunslet and Holbeck – check out the group’s website for more.
