BITMOs GATE Community Breakfast in memory of Jo Cox (MP)

The Great Get Together this morning at BITMOs GATE when about 50 people turned out for the community breakfast in memory of Jo Cox.

Helen Joanne Cox (22 June 1974– 16 June 2016) was a British Labour Party politician who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Batley and Spen constituency from her election in May 2015 until her murder in June 2016.

Members of the Breakfast Club and Sheltered housing this morning enjoyed a full English Breakfast or a Continental Breakfast, fruit and juice, tea, coffee.

It was nice to see children enjoying the event along with there families.

The Breakfast club is held every Friday from 9.30am.

Thanks to also Carla, Donna and Jenny helping out this morning in arranging this event.

At 10.30am there was a minute’s silence, in memory of Jo Cox.

Born 1949 in Hunslet. Went to Hunslet Carr School at age 4. From age 11, Went to Belle Isle Secondary Modern. Left School at 15 and worked in the Tailoring trade. 1 Year Later Got employment in the Electrical retailing industry at Curry's. Stayed anther year, before moving on to Vallances Electrical. Stayed there for about 21 years, before setting myself up in business as a Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning Business.
