Belle Isle Elderly Winter Aid celebrated the International Day of Older People on Wednesday (4 October 2017) at BITMO’s Gate centre in Belle Isle.
There were information and advice stalls from: Ross Care Centres; Wiltshire Farm Foods; Care & Repair; The Leeds Directory; Carers Leeds; The Green Doctor; Age UK; The Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust and The British Red Cross.
Councillors Paul Truswell and Judith Blake attended the event as well as many of the older residents of Belle Isle.
Local resident Iris Crummack said “The stalls were really informative. Everybody seemed to enjoy the event and the food was really good!”
