Performance Lighting, based off Parkside Lane in Beeston, have been collecting food from their customers and staff to donate to the South Leeds Live At Home Scheme (SLLAHS).
The mini food bank has sat on their trade counter throughout December and the full box has now been handed over to SLLAHS, who support older people in Beeston, Cottingley and Hunslet.
John Hall, Managing Director at Performance Lighting said:
“We are delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile, local charity, such as South Leeds Live at Home Scheme. We’ve been receiving items for the food bank throughout the month of December, from members of staff, our customers and other local businesses and we’d like to thank everyone who has donated – we hope it helps this great cause in some small way!”
Sara Cooper from South Leeds Live At Home Scheme commented:
“We really appreciate the food that’s been donated today because it goes directly back into the community helping older people who are isolated. We work to help people living later life well and often meet people in crisis and this kind of help is invaluable.”
