A charity swishing party is being held at St Mary’s Beeston Parish Centre on Saturday 9 July 2016, 10am-12noon.
Swishing is a fun way of swapping clothes – you bring clothes, pay a small entrance fee, and pay 50p-£1 for every item you take away. Clean and good condition clothes can be dropped off before the event – contact Lindsey Pearson, on 07961 016052 or revlcp@btinternet.com or bring to Slimming World Sessions in the Parish Centre: Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday morning.
Two great causes will be helped: Christian Aid and Leeds South Foodbank – two groups helping to make life better for people in poverty.
Refreshments will be available – bacon butties, fresh strawberries and more.
The Vicar of Beeston, Rev Lindsey Pearson, said: “I’m hoping for a whole new wardrobe! This is a fun way of supporting these charities and recycling – everyone wins!”
Beeston Parish Centre is on Town St, LS11 8PN, opposite the Co-op.
