Asha Neighbourhood Project is celebrating 33 years of service to the community on Sunday 1 April 2018
Asha is a small yet prominent charity in the heart of Beeston. It is focused on raising women’s confidence and providing access to life improving opportunities to local women and their children.
Having worked at the centre since 1995 Michele Lofthouse (Childcare Development Worker) has seen hundreds of children come through the doors. She said:
“It is a real privilege to work with families who put their trust in you to care for their children. I have watched so many children grow from being babies in the creche to pre-schoolers in the nursery, onto the play-scheme and into adulthood becoming parents themselves. It has been a joy to be part of so many lives for so long.”
Asha Pre-school is holding an open afternoon on Wednesday 28 March 12-2pm for anyone who is interested in nursery places and to find out more about the work Asha does within the community.
Happy 33rd Birthday Asha!
