Asda may not be everyone’s cup of tea at the moment with all the disruption around their new Old Lane store in Beeston, but they’ve made some friends at the local St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School.
The store has made a donation of £500 which has been used to purchase a brand new football kit for the next school year.
Community Life Champion, Debbi Jackson, arranged the donation. She commented:
“It’s so important for children to keep fit and healthy, so we’re thrilled that we could provide the pupils with brand new kit to get them set for the new school term.”
Lisa Leonard, Head Teacher at St Anthony’s Primary School, said:
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Asda for their kind donation. The children love their new kit and are looking forward to showing it off.”
The new Old Lane store will open on Monday 13 July.
