The Ruth Gorse Academy is recruiting to a number of non-teaching jobs during June 2015.

The Ruth Gorse Academy is a new high school for children aged 11-19. The number currently on roll is 95 – Year 7 only from September 2014. The school will move to purpose built premises near the Royal Armouries in Hunslet in 2016.

Working as part of The GORSE Academies Trust (The Morley Academy and The Farnley Academy), The Ruth Gorse Academy is a new Academy which is looking to recruit the following positions for September 2015.

Monday – Friday

The intention of this role is to provide accurate and timely information to Middle Leaders and Senior Management regarding pupil performance and also to develop strategies to improve the monitoring of young people throughout the school.

The intention of this role is to work under the Director of Inclusion for The GORSE Academies Trust to address the needs of students who require support in overcoming barriers to learning both inside and outside the school.  To also act as the primary designated Child Protection Officer within the Academy.

The intention of this role is to work closely with the Curriculum Leader of Science and to ensure the smooth operation of all aspects of our Science laboratories.  Training and support will be provided.

Post:              Driver / Site Maintenance

25 Hours Per week

The intention of this role is that the Driver will be responsible to drive the school minibus as required which will include split shifts. When not carrying out driving duties, to assist the Site Supervisor as and when required.

Monday-Friday:        6.30 am – 8.30 am

The intention of this role is to provide cleaning duties, but not limited to: mopping, cleaning tables, polishing and cleaning toilets. Some lifting up to 25kgs will be required.

Must have excellent reading skills (for Health and Safety reasons) as will be reading labels on bottles containing chemicals.

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen to work alongside the Principal of the Academy. This is a very busy role in an unashamedly ambitious academy.

The intention of this role is to provide extensive diary management, organising and attending meetings, and acting on initiative to undertake research and compile relevant briefing papers for the Principal and the Senior Leadership team. You should be incredibly organised, efficient, personable and a team player.   This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to take their secretarial career to the next step in a dynamic organisation. Ideally you will have solid work experience from an industry, public services or education background, be well spoken, intelligent (perhaps with a degree) and/or a secretarial course.
