Affordable Resources To Let Children Play Creatively

Nicola Turner from Leeds Play Network has been in touch with details of the services they provide:

Leeds Play NetworkDo you work with children, are you a parent or carer – would you like to be creative without spending a fortune ?

Gone are the days when people could spend a fortune on arts and crafts materials, but so many of our current customers still want to let children be creative.  There are so many benefits to children being creative.  Play helps develop each child’s unique perspective and individual style of creative expression. Play expresses the child’s personal, unique responses to the environment. Play is a self-expressive activity that draws on the child’s powers of imagination.

Leeds Play Network are a small charity organisation offering access to affordable play resources.  Did you know our resource centre based in Hunslet offers you the opportunity to be creative using a range of unusual scrap materials!

We have a whole host of goodies to encourage you to use unusual materials in a creative way.  We source scrap based materials locally, keeping the cost of materials as low as possible. Our current stock includes mirrors, plastic items, wooden blocks, fabric, paper and card.

We have a wide range of new arts and crafts materials to compliment the use of scrap materials, we buy large quantities and decant in to smaller sizes.  Our range includes the usual items – glue, paint, glitter, feathers, beads, sequins and pom poms.
