Access computer support in Holbeck

DASH – Digital AccesS in Holbeck – is a new service to help people get online in the neighbourhood.

Dash project HolbeckDASH provides access to on-line services, help and assistance with computers, tablets, smartphones every Tuesday morning at the Holbeck Youth & Community Centre.

The sessions will also incorporate the Holbeck Work Club, which offers access to computers for job seeking, help writing CV’s and job applications plus beginners sessions on I.T. all of which is free of charge.

DASH has been funded by the Big Lottery Fund and will run for 12 months initially. The project has been put together by Get Technology Together, a group born out of the legacy created by the Citizens on Line project ‘Get IT Together Leeds’.

After the BT funded project ended in December 2014, the staff and tutors of the Leeds Project created GTT to carry on the great work and maintain the fantastic relationship across lots of organisations in Leeds. These included local community organisations, Leeds City Council, Library Service, Housing Leeds and Housing Associations.

The group has now a team of professional tutors / trainers experienced in all things technical, plus a group of volunteers who can provide a service to anyone who needs support, guidance or training.

DASH runs every Tuesday morning from 10am to 12 noon at Holbeck Youth & Community Centre, 90A Elland Road, LS11 0AB
