A Beeston bench fit for a king

As we reported last month, Beeston In Bloom have been fundraising to install a special bench to mark the Coronation of King Charles III.

The bench has now been installed outside St Andrew’s Methodist Church on Old Lane, in time for the big event on Saturday (6 May 2023).

Linda Stanley, Secretary of Beeston in Bloom, said:

“In time for the celebrations on the 6 May, our Coronation bench has been installed outside St Andrew’s Methodist Church at the junction of Old Lane and Cardinal Road. Beeston in Bloom would like to thank all the residents who have contributed to help buy it. Thanks also to staff from Parks Department who have secured it in place. It’s another example of how generous people can be and what makes Beeston a great place to live.”
