When the Cricket World Cup starts next week, Middleton Railway has an important part to play.
Each time a player scores a 6, 50, or 100, a screen will light up and music will be played to celebrate the fact.
For the matches taking place at Headingley, Middleton Railway is one of the locations chosen to highlight these scores as the attached photo shows.
We are delighted to be able to celebrate players’ success and wish all the players a wonderful World Cup!
Middleton Railway, the world’s first commercial railway, runs trains every weekend through the summer as well as bank holidays and Wednesdays during school holidays. The museum at their Moor Road station in Hunslet is free to visit.
