As part of Slung Low Theatre’s annual Christmas Fayre on Saturday 8 December 2018, there will be a special afternoon performance at The Holbeck (WMC) as Freckle Productions present Tabby McTat from the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.
Interwoven with original songs, Tabby McTat is the heart-warming tale of friendship and loyalty for children and families of all ages. The company made and rehearsed the show in The Holbeck back in September and we are delighted they will return with a special one-off performance. You pay what you decide and all funds will be donated to the brilliant Leeds-based homeless charity Simon on the Streets.
Tabby McTat is a cat with the loudest of meee-ews and a best friend with a guitar. Together they sing their favourite songs delighting the crowds, until one day Fred disappears. Separated and alone, Tabby finds shelter and a new life with all the home comforts that any cat could dream of. However, memories of his life with Fred haunt him, and he sets off to search the streets for his long-lost friend.
The performance is at The Holbeck (Jenkinson Lawn, Leeds, LS11 9QX). Please note that access to the performing space is via a set of stairs. This is a ticketed event with a limited capacity so make sure that you reserve your ticket in advance for free and you pay what you decide after watching the show.
