White Rose Celebrates Christmas with a Sprinkle of Disney Magic
The White Rose Shopping Centre is beginning its Christmas celebrations on Thursday (9 November 2017) with a festive parade featuring live music and magical fun.
The centre will be hosting a GIF booth complete with festive props so that visitors can take home a seasonal memento of their day before enjoying the Christmas parade – which welcomes Santa to his grotto – from 4:30-5:30pm.
White Rose is also celebrating with an added touch of magic this year: a collection of giant Disney-themed decorations in its new outdoor area, The Village. The display includes an illuminated Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto plus a glorious illuminated Christmas tree. White Rose is offering visitors that snap a picture with the decorations and share on their Facebook page or on Twitter using #MagicalMoments the chance to win a Disney prize bundle – there are ten to be won, T&Cs apply.
For those keen to add a charitable consideration to their Christmas shopping, White Rose will be stocking Christmas cards designed by children at St Luke’s C of E Primary School in Beeston and Asquith Primary School in Morley with funds raised going directly to St Luke’s CARES. The charity supports vulnerable individuals and those at the margins in South Leeds to reach their full potential.
Steven Foster, General Manager at White Rose Shopping Centre, said:
“The festive season is one of our favourite times of year here at White Rose, and we’re so excited to kick off the celebrations on 09 November.
“We’ve also got the added delight of our Disney decorations this year, which we can’t wait to unveil to our visitors. We believe in making the festive season as easy as possible for our visitors and we’re proud to offer something for everyone under our roof – with a little sprinkling of festive magic, too.”
White Rose Shopping Centre is offering visitors extended opening hours to make things that little bit easier in the run up to Christmas: 9am – 10pm Monday to Friday, 9am – 8pm Saturdays, and 11am – 5pm Sundays.
