Local environmental charity The Conservation Volunteers is has a busy start to 2017.
The Green Gym sessions funded by NHS Leeds South & East CCG are now well established at Skelton Grange in Stourton and in Health for All‘s base at Cockburn High School in Beeston. As gardening gathers pace into the spring there will be space for new members and also those wishing to share their skills supporting the Project Officer.
Contact Sharon Bottomley on 07767 133 137; or email: s.bottomley@tcv.org.uk to get involved.
South Leeds Residents are also welcome to join the short courses at TCV’s Kirkstall Centre in woodwork, bushcraft and gardening. If you are on benefits these are free and bus fares can be refunded. You could also join the teams planting trees or repairing paths across West Yorkshire.
