Police are appealing for information to trace to three suspects who are believed to have broken into a 90-year-old woman’s house by claiming to be police officers.
The incident occurred between 10am and 10.30am on Tuesday morning and at a house on Longroyd Street North in Beeston.
Three men, two of which are believed to have been wearing dark coloured stab vests with ‘police’ written on the back, entered the house by forcing the front door.
Following a search of the property they are believed to have left on foot, returning to a red coloured VW Golf vehicle which is thought to have left the area via Dewsbury Road.
The victim was not injured but has been left shocked by the incident and is being cared for by family members.
All three suspects are believed to be aged in their twenties and had slim builds. The two believed to have been wearing stab vests are thought to be white males with the third suspect being described as having olive skin.
