Now that Ed Miliband has quit, I hope Hilary puts himself forward as Labour leader..
I agree – I can’t think of anyone better for the job. He increased his majority by 50% despite a shocking night for Labour across the board, and can’t be tagged with the Red Ed moniker or being accused of being basically a Tory wearing a red tie.
It’s a shame that I didn’t get the chance to make the suggestion to him at the count for the local elections – me and him had a good chat about various things – whilst I disagree with much of his politics (or rather those of his party) I can’t make any criticism of him personally. Faultless person.
I think Hilary Benn, would make a good Leader he is very educated and well liked!
