Rainbow Roofs is a fantastic group which is open to all Leeds City Council Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender tenants and leaseholders… including people living in Belle Isle!
The group works with officers and other tenants to directly influence and improve housing services.
Does this sound like something you would like to get involved with?
If you are interested in making a difference for LGBT Council tenants and leaseholders in Leeds we’d love to hear from you!
All membership is totally confidential.

I personally think that the above advert is not well worded.
‘Rainbow Roofs is a fantastic new group which is open to all Leeds City Council Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender tenants and leaseholders… including people living in Belle Isle!
What is it supposed to mean by saying including people living in Belle Isle. Sounds like people who live there are different in some way to the rest of South Leeds. Would appreciate an explanation
From Kenneth Ingram: Thank you Wendy for your comment.
Sorry for any confusion. All I meant was BITMO tenants are welcome to join the group as well as council tenants and housing association Tenants.
Ah I see what the confusion is here… the group is run by Housing Leeds, which is the landlord for anyone renting their homes from Leeds City Council across the city, other than in Belle Isle but if you rent your home from Leeds City Council in Belle Isle, BITMO are your landlord.
The article explains that everyone- regardless of who your landlord is (i.e. whether BITMO or Housing Leeds)- is invited to get involved in the Rainbow Roofs Group.
Hope this clears it up.
Thanks, Carla.
What about LFHA tennants?
Thanks.
We’ve asked Leeds Fed tenant involvement team and they don’t know about the group, but would like to join.
