‘The Holbeck’ (Holbeck Working Men’s Club) have been preparing a special Santa’s Grotto treat for their members this Saturday (20 December 2014). All their volunteers have been lovingly building a winter wonderland, with real trees covered in twinkling lights for two weeks now. Situated in their side room, the beautifully painted Jerusalem backdrop reflects multi-colours of light over the nativity setting.
Members of the club including the Holbeck Christian Fellowship have created this grotto complete with lights lanterns and a winter scene mural with famous Disney characters.
This will come alive when Santa and his elves meet excited children’s eyes with gifts and wishes for Christmas tomorrow.
This Saturday is fully booked to see Father Christmas. However, if you would like to see the grotto at any other time the club would like to invite non members to have a look.
