Building and gardening opportunities for young people

 

Two opportunities for young people looking for work and training have been advertised this week.

Horticulture TraineeGroundwork Leeds are offering a two year, full time, practical training course in horticulture and landscape gardening. The course is for 16-18 year olds and you’ll learn on the job working at the Temple Newsam Estate as well as having work placements in the industry.

The course leads to a City & Guilds Diploma with excellent career opportunities. Groundwork Leeds are working with Leeds City Council and Maltings College to deliver this course.

Are you looking to get into the building trade? Construction & Housing Yorkshire are holding a drop in session at Richmond Hill Community Centre on Monday 5th August 2013 between 2-7pm.

You will be able to find out about exciting training and job opportunities in Leeds, meet the contractors and find out what they are looking for. You will also be able to register your interest for vacancies on the day.
