If you have passed by the Involve Community Centre in Hunslet recently, you may have seen that a fence is up around the front of the building.
While we apologise for any inconvenience, we want to reassure everyone that our doors remain open!
Although the main hall is temporarily closed for use, we anticipate this will be for a week or two only. Our ongoing external groups have made alternative arrangements—either within the centre or nearby—and are reaching out to their regular members.
In the meantime, our regular drop-in days are running as normal:
Tuesdays: Join our gardening group and enjoy a light lunch of toasties, soup, and cake.
Wednesdays: All community Connect CIC – Food Pantry
Fridays: Get creative at our art sessions led by Edek or Annabelle, followed by a light lunch.
While the front entrance will only be in use as a fire exit, the entrance from the carpark is still open. An alternative accessible entrance is being investigated. Please check our Facebook page or contact us on 07565 103649 for the latest access updates.
Finally, mark your calendars for Saturday 14 November at 4pm for the Christmas Light Switch-On at the Penny Hill Centre, organised by the West Hunslet Action Group. Come and say hello to the Involve team, we’ll be there serving hot drinks and mince pies!
