Leeds music charity, Cloth Cat, continues to inspire with their Get Your Act Together music project for young people.
Cloth Cat, a charity based in Holbeck, have been supporting people and the Leeds music scene for over 25 years. They put on gigs all over the city as well as running various projects that support people’s well-being through music.
One of the projects they are currently running is called Get Your Act Together – a 10 week music course for young people aged 11-18. Their dedicated industry professionals teach guitar, drums, keyboards, rap and singing to small classes of keen and enthusiastic young people.
The next term of Get Your Act Together starts after Easter and runs for 10 weeks. All the classes are free and open to anyone ages 11-18 from any part of the city, there are still one or two spaces left so get in there quickly to reserve you space! More information can be found at clothcatleeds.org.uk/projects/get-your-act-together, or email gyat@clothcatleeds.org.uk. The courses are funded The National Lottery.

South Leeds Life is published by a not-for-profit social enterprise. We keep our costs as low as possible but we’ve been hit by increases in the print costs for our monthly newspaper which have doubled in the last two years.
