St Luke’s Church in Beeston Hill is starting its Job Club up again to support local people who are looking for employment.
The Job Club is run by CAP (Christians Against Poverty) and is a friendly place where people get practical help as they seek employment. It’s a relaxed environment with the chance to meet other jobseekers, get support and gain the tools you need to find work.
Being unemployed can be hard to deal with on your own, but being part of one of our 156 CAP Job Clubs means you face the challenge with other people in similar situations.
Our Job Club will meet weekly on Wednesday evenings, 5pm to 6:30pm. We follow an eight week course that gives people all the tools they need to find work, from writing a CV that employers won’t be able to resist, to brushing up on those all important interview skills.
It costs absolutely nothing – our Job Clubs are completely free.
The Job Club starts on Wednesday 17 April 2024 at St Luke’s Church on Malvern Road, Beeston Hill, LS11 8PD. Doors open from 4:45pm and the Club starts at 5pm.
Afterwards, Free Cycle provides an evening meal for those who would like one – also at St. Luke’s Church.
Please contact me, Mike Wrigglesworth, on 07500 530250 if you’d like to come along.

South Leeds Life is published by a not-for-profit social enterprise. We keep our costs as low as possible but we’ve been hit by increases in the print costs for our monthly newspaper which have doubled in the last two years.
