Due to popular demand, White Rose Shopping Centre’s magical Christmas ice rink, which debuted last year, is returning next month and tickets go on sale this Thursday (5 October 2023).
The family-friendly attraction, which was a huge hit with guests last Christmas returns to The Village, near Cineworld, on Tuesday 21 November and will stay open until Sunday 7 January 2024.
White Rose’s magical ice rink is made of real ice, brought to life using special rapid-freeze technology, and is fully covered to ensure bad weather won’t affect the festive fun.
The rink is suitable for skaters of all ages and is accessible for all, with bookable Parent & Toddler or Quiet Sessions, and even exclusive Disco Nights every Friday. Ice skates will be available to hire, and penguin & seal skating aids are available for the little ones – or those wanting an extra hand with their balance.
The rink will open from 4pm on Tuesday 21 November, with sessions available daily until Sunday 7 January 2024 (except Christmas Day). White Rose restaurants will also be open to enjoy pre or après ski refreshments, including those outside in The Village: Starbucks (inside Cineworld), Wagamama, Five Guys, Fridays, and the new Bianco Lounge and Wetherspoon, The Scribbling Mill.
As well as the ice rink, the centre will host a wonderous new grotto, where visitors can meet Santa in his vintage train carriage en route to the North Pole. The grotto will open daily from Friday 10 November, with little ones able to share their Christmas wishes right up until Christmas Eve on Sunday 24 December.

“Our new grotto is also sure to get visitors in the Christmas spirit and, alongside hundreds of shops and restaurants, plus free thousands of free parking spaces, White Rose is the perfect festive family day out.”
