What’s Happening At BITMOs GATE In February 2016.
Each month we have a range of activities, events and courses available for free at BITMOs GATE, which is the new resource centre next to Belle Isle TMO’s housing office on Belle Isle Road.
Here are some of the things happening in February.
Computers
Our computers are available to use for free between 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays. We also have Wi-Fi if you’d prefer to bring your own laptop, tablet or smart phone.

Health Trainer
Each Monday the GATE has appointments available. Katie will provide up to 8 confidential one-to-one sessions to help support and motivate you in achieving small goals to improve your health; this could be losing weight, starting to exercise, changing eating habits.

Discover your family history and uncover relatives with help from Julie.
Mondays 10am to 12pm and 1pm till 3pm. Have a cuppa and share your tree on the big screen.
Learn how to paint water colours, Acrylics and oil painting with John.

In partnership with South Leeds Foodbank and the Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust, BITMOs GATE serves a hot lunch – soup and a bread roll – every Tuesday 11.30am till 1pm… Tasty Tuesdays!

NEW Job club.

In partnership with the National Careers Service, BITMOs GATE aims to help you get on the path to employment! Support with job applications, CV writing, cover letters and interview skills from James and Rachel on Tuesdays 1pm to 4pm.

Citizens Advice Bureau.
If you need help and advice to resolve a problem, you can visit the Citizens Advice Bureau at BITMOs GATE on Wednesday mornings. Appointments are required, please call 0113 3782190 for more information.
Wednesdays 9:30am to 12:30pm.
Come and have leisurely stroll for an hour with Ken and like minded people.
Recent walks have been walking along the canal both ways near Thwaite Mills, Cross Flats park and of course Middleton Park.
If you have any suggestions for a walk, let me know.
Guitar in the Community.
Free guitar lessons with John at the GATE. John will teach you how to read music and play chords for free in a friendly group setting.
Beginners Wednesdays 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
Improvers Wednesdays 7:30pm to 8:30pm.

Black African Ladies Group ‘Aiwa’
