A Jobs Fair aimed at recruiting Christmas staff for retailers at the White Rose Shopping Centre proved a huge success for all concerned.
The one-day fair which took place at the offices of job shop The Point, was run in conjunction with retailers including Marks & Spencer, Argos, Game, Schuh, BHS, Nando’s, Boots, The Entertainer, Costa Coffee and McDonalds as well as partner agencies.
James Bailey, Centre Director for White Rose said:
“People were queuing past the New Look store when the Fair first opened and by 6pm there had been more than 700 attendees which was a larger turnout than any of us were expecting.
“We are delighted with the success and I’m sure that all the retailers who were involved will be too.”
You can find out about vacancies still available at White Rose by either visiting www.white-rose.co.uk/jobs-and-vacancies, looking at the jobs boards next to Customer Services or making direct contact with the retailers.
The Jobs Fair also included the promotion of city wide apprenticeship opportunities through The Hub, the Head Start programme and Leeds City College provision available at The Point.
