A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm this morning (13 May 2021) following a street brawl involving a number of youths last night.
A section of Cottingley Drive was closed today to allow officers to search an area close to Cottingley Cemetery.
In a statement, West Yorkshire Police said:
At 8.21pm last night, police were called to Cottingley Drive, Leeds, following reports of an altercation involving a group of youths.
One youth was reported to have been seen with what appeared to be handgun.
A scene is currently in place in Cottingley Drive while enquiries continue to establish the circumstances.

A 16-year-old male has been arrested this morning on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence in relation to the incident.
