White Rose to host Council Adult Social Care marketplace event

White Rose Shopping Centre is hosting Leeds City Council’s Adults and Health Marketplace Event in the Central Atrium on Thursday 4 April from 10am–3pm. The event will raise awareness of the variety of adult social care services available in Leeds, especially in the south of the city.

People from across Leeds with care and support needs as well as their carers and families will be offered advice and information to help maintain independence at all stages of life. The event will also further promote the Better Lives strategy and its three elements: Better Conversations, Better Living, and Better Connections.

There will be information about career opportunities in social care work and the chance for social care professionals across the sector to network and find out more about new and innovative approaches to adult social care plus health and wellbeing.

Steven Foster, General Manager of White Rose Shopping Centre, said:

“We’re delighted to be hosting this event on behalf of Leeds City Council. The market will showcase the range of support available across the city, and allows visitors the opportunity to speak directly to social care professionals. We’re certain that this will benefit our South Leeds community and beyond.”

Executive member for Adults and Health, Councillor Rebecca Charlwood said:

“As part of our Better Lives strategy we set out the commitment to raise awareness of the various adult social care services offered from across all the sectors; and this event at the White Rose is another great example of how we can work together to inform communities across Leeds.”

The event will be held in White Rose’s Central Atrium on Thursday 4 April from 10am–3pm.
