White Rose is celebrating after delivering a strong ‘Golden Quarter’ – the final three months of 2025 – with sales and footfall both up year-on-year.
The shopping centre saw strong consumer demand with total sales increasing 9.1% and footfall up 5.2% versus the previous year, significantly outperforming the British Retail Consortium national benchmarks of -0.2% and -0.3% respectively.
The achievement follows White Rose’s record-breaking footfall in the previous year, seeing 12 million guests visit the centre.
The results reflect both consumer and retailer confidence in the shopping centre, which in 2025 attracted new brands such as Vanilla, Waterstones, and Chopstix, saw store investment and upsizes from Sports Direct, Office, Greggs, and Ernest Jones, as well as new leisure opening King Pins reflecting White Rose’s aspirations as an all-day-out destination and complementing its calendar of family-friendly events.
The momentum continues into 2026 with Volcano Falls Adventure Golf set to open this spring, and with more new brand announcements on the horizon.
Steven Foster, Centre Director at White Rose Shopping Centre, said:
“It’s our ambition to create an enjoyable and accessible destination for all the family here at White Rose, and our Golden Quarter results confirm we’re on the right track.
“We have plans to further enhance our proposition throughout 2026, with upcoming additions to our retail mix offering even more shopping, dining, and entertainment choice for our guests. We look forward to announcing our new arrivals in the coming weeks.”
