There’s lots happening at St Luke’s CARES at the moment, with new projects launching alongside our regular community activities. From supporting families and young people to helping adults build skills and confidence, our Charity Shop and community space on Dewsbury Road continues to be a busy, welcoming space for people across South Leeds.
Shine Young Mums
Our Young Mums Group offers a friendly and supportive space for mums aged under 25 and their babies/toddlers to connect, share experiences and build confidence in a relaxed setting.
Sessions take place every Wednesday, 10-11:30am at Beeston Hill United Free Church, Malvern Road.
The group focuses on reducing isolation and helping mums feel supported during the early stages of parenthood.
Free Book Buddy Club
We’re delighted to be running our new Free Book Buddy Club, giving families the chance to enjoy stories, toast, games and crafts together.
Every Wednesday, 3:30–4:30pm, upstairs at St Luke’s CARES Charity Shop, 246 Dewsbury Road
For more information contact Hannah on 07498 433866 or text to book your family in.
Repair Café
Our Repair Café continues to bring people together to fix everyday items such as small electricals, clothing and bikes, while enjoying a chat and a cuppa.
The cafe runs on the first Saturday of the Month from 1-4pm. The next one will be on 7 March 2026 at St Luke’s CARES, 246 Dewsbury Road.
