SLATE, the “feelgood furniture store” is recruiting for a casual van driver.
SLATE is a charity and part of its operations is a second hand furniture shop. They are looking for a casual driver to collect and deliver furniture across Leeds and surrounding areas, working alongside and supporting people with learning difficulties.
You must be over 24 and preferably have a clean driving licence (max 3 points). You must have the physical ability to handle large furniture, experience of driving 35cwt van or larger, knowledge of Leeds and District and basic DIY Skills.
It would be good if you had experience of working with people with learning difficulties. The appointment is subject to a CRB check, which SLATE will pay for.
The work is a minimum of 16 hours per week and will include weekends. Additional hours may be available however not guaranteed. The pay rate is £7.20 per hour.
