This Sunday (21 December 2025) at 2pm, the Christmas Donkeys are back on the streets of Hunslet for the Annual Wandering Nativity.
Throughout the festive journey we will sing carols and retell the Nativity Story. We invite anyone joining the walk to dress in Nativity costumes (optional) and bring a light or lantern.
At 2pm, we will meet at Church Street next to St Mary’s Spire, then travel between Hemingway flats, followed by a stop off at Assisi Place. We will then meander through the estate, stopping along the way, arriving at the Involve Centre around 3:30pm.
Bible readings will be read by an all-star cast of local children and adults, relating to the Christmas story. Music will also be played throughout the walk.
Then it’s donkey rides and Christmas refreshments.
The Christmas Celebration event is organised by the Hunslet Gathering, Hunslet’s own Anglican Community Church.
Everyone is welcome anytime whatever age, background or church/faith experience.
We look forward to seeing you on Sunday 21 December!
