Highways England have announced a consultation on improvements to the M621 motorway in South Leeds including the closure of the off slip road at Junction 2A (Cemetery Road, Holbeck). The proposals aim to improve traffic flows and include giving greater priority to traffic moving westwards between Junction 3 and 2.

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision on the M621 on Tuesday night (6 January 2015). The incident happened at 5.15pm when a male pedestrian was in collision with a Peugeot 407 near to junction 2 (northbound) of the motorway (A643 Elland Road and Ingram Distributor).
