Women in Leeds who have experienced domestic abuse are being invited to attend a supportive and welcoming gathering at St George’s Centre in Middleton on Tuesday 31 March 2026.
The meeting, organised by Survivor-led Sisterhood Leeds, brings together women who have lived through domestic abuse to support one another in a safe, understanding environment. The group aims to create a sense of community where survivors can share experiences, find encouragement, and rebuild confidence alongside others who truly understand.
The session will run from 11am until 1pm and will include a special guided meditation led by guest facilitator Stacey Knight. Stacey will lead attendees through a calm and peaceful meditation designed to help women relax, reconnect with themselves, and enjoy a moment of stillness.
Alongside the meditation, the gathering will offer time for informal conversation where women can meet others with similar experiences, build friendships, and support one another in their healing journeys. Tea, coffee and cake will also be available, helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Organisers say the group is about creating a safe, non-judgmental space where survivors can talk openly, feel heard, and know they are not alone.
Women interested in attending or wanting more information can contact the organisers by emailing info@survivorledsisterhoodleeds.co.uk or by sending a text message to 07720 926032.
The group welcomes any woman who has experienced domestic abuse and would benefit from meeting others who understand and are ready to offer support.
