Calling all community groups in the City and Hunslet ward!
Grants from £250 to £2,500 to support local community groups are still available for local groups to apply for after the first round of money allocated to the the ward was undersubscribed.
But groups will have to hurry – the Community First panel meets on Wednesday (June 13) and applications will nered to be received before then if they’re to be considered.
The Community First project aims to support local projects, while promoting a sense of community ownership and encouraging communities to help themselves and others. It will provide hundreds of thousands of pounds of funding for projects in the south Leeds area during the next three years.
A panel of local people and councillors has been established in order to consider applications.
