The Hunslet Club Dance Troupe is set to perform at the prestigious Leeds Light Night Festival on this coming evening of Friday October 4th.
They will perform an energetic and exciting dance piece based on the experience of a circus. This group will perform a variety of different dance styles including pointe ballet, gymnastics and everything in between to show you what the circus is all about. Our younger members will show you the fun side, everything from clowns to animal movement, whereas our older members will show you the dark side of the circus, a scary place of the obscure. A family friendly performance where everyone is bound to come away feeling immersed in the bizarre world of the extraordinary!
The Hunslet Club Dance Troupe is a dance performance group of 15 children ranging from 8-16 years from across South Leeds. These dancers have been selected to be in this group as they have shown that they are gifted and talented dancers. Read all about and see video of their Light Night performance in 2012 here.
When: 5.00pm – 9.15pm (Performances on the hour, lasting for 15 minutes)
“We are delighted once again to be performing at one of the best arts festivals in the region and showcasing the talent to be found at the club in front of many hundreds of people. Last year the troupe put on a superb perfomance, lets see how much they’ve improved this time round.”
