The Hunslet Club Solitaires is the name of the new majorettes squad rising from the ashes of the long running Lynbar Majorettes club.
After 20 years Charlotte Roberts isn’t ready to give up twirling, but Lynbar had run its course.
“I’m really positive about working as part of The Hunslet Club” she said. “It’s a very supportive organisation and its good to be part of something bigger.”
The Solitaires are now looking for dancers of all ages to join them.
“We are starting from scratch and everyone is welcome. You don’t need any experience, anyone can learn the moves.”
The younger teams will train at Hunslet Club Parkside’s club house in Belle Isle, whilst the older squads will make use of the higher ceiling at The Hunslet Club to practice their routines.
