You won’t need a mountain bike for this workshop which promises to teach you the “Shabby Chic” basics.
SLATE, the charity behind the Feel Good Furniture Shop in Hunslet and the Feel Good Cafe at Hillside in Beeston, have teamed up with the No Stripping Studio to lay on this workshop. The idea is that you can brighten up old pieces of furniture without having to go and buy new. During the workshop you will learn how to:
- use chalk paint
- prepare, paint and create stunning finishes
- transform bland pine or dark wood furniture
The workshop is being held on Saturday 20th April from 10:00am to 3:00pm at the Feel Good Cafe, Hillside, Beeston Road, LS11 8ND. It costs for £40 with half of the entry price going to SLATE to support their work providing work and training for people with learning difficulties, selling affordable second hand furniture and stopping furniture going to landfill.
