Sisters raise funds and awareness of breast cancer

South Leeds Sister, Sheli Dobbie and her team of workmates from Vets4Pets, staged a successful fundraising dinner at South Leeds Stadium on 19 October.

£4,300 was raised for Leeds Charity, Breast Cancer Action. Sheli was motivated to stage the event, in Breast Cancer Awareness Month, when another member of the Sisters running group, Laura Turnbull, contracted Breast Cancer aged just 31.

Sheli posted on Facebook:

Update: Massive thanks to Jacqi who donated £117.19 to make now £4,300.00 Thank you so so much! It means a lot to me, our team & the charity. Thank you for being so kind.

We are beyond grateful to the donators of raffle prizes, the Prosecco, John Charles Centre for Sport for their room, the hard working team on the night, especially when the agency bar staff never turned up! So it meant their fellow colleague had to work over all day! To Andy King Entertainments for assisting us, dealing with my erratic phone calls when me & Sarah hadn’t heard from anyone. To Romeo, Mason & Ruby L’Amour for their entertainment. To Scott & Jamie as always for the music & the laughs. To Karon, Karen & @Lisa for helping on Friday & Saturday set up all the chair covers, bows & general assisting.
The beautiful balloons provided by Brighouse & Rastrick Balloons we can’t thank you enough for your generosity & help on the morning. You were both fantastic

For team Bramley Vets4Pets for working hard together to make it happen. It wasn’t without its dramas

And finally to everyone that bought a ticket & supported us on the night, we hope you enjoyed it?
