White Rose Shopping Centre is hosting a charitable ice skating event on Wednesday (3 December 2025), inviting ice hockey fans to take to the rink with members of Leeds Knights in return for a small charity donation to benefit local charity Kidz Klub.
The event comes hot on the heels of White Rose’s record-breaking ice skate with the champion ice hockey team, in which 248 festive locals joined Leeds Knights superstars Liam Peyton and Balint Pakozdi to set the record for the most high fives completed in 30 seconds.
The Skate to Donate event takes place from 5–6pm on Wednesday 3 December, with guests asked to make a donation of just £5 to enjoy a skate with nine of the players. Tickets must be secured in advance via www.white-rose.co.uk
All donations will go to Kidz Klub, which has worked with families across Leeds to bring joy, safety, and hope to children living in poverty and isolation for 25 years.
Ashleigh Kellett, Deputy Centre Director at White Rose, said:
“The Christmas season is a time for being together and sharing joy, and we’re excited to host another opportunity to do just that while benefitting the amazing work that Kidz Klub does across the city.
“We’re grateful for Leeds Knights’ time and generosity, and we can’t wait to enjoy the festive spirit on the ice rink.”
White Rose’s ice rink is open to enjoy until 4 January, with regular themed events as well as Friday Disco Nights and special Parent & Toddler and Quiet Sessions.
