Police in Leeds are appealing for information after a 41-year-old man was admitted to hospital with serious head injuries following an incident in Beeston last night (1 September 2014).
Detective Inspector John Dexter, from Leeds District CID, said:
‘‘At 9.59pm last night, we were notified by the ambulance service after a 41-year-old man was admitted to Leeds General Infirmary with head injuries and remains in a serious but stable condition.
‘‘A crime scene has been established at a property on Cemetery Road and localised road closures remain in place. We have arrested three people in connection with the incident; a 34 -year-old man and two women aged 27 and 28, who remain in police custody on suspicion of section 18 assault.
“We would like to hear from anyone who has any information about this incident and can help us to determine the events that led to this serious assault. As at 11am Beeston Road was still closed at the junction with Cemetery Road and Tempest Road. Bus services 1, 64, 74 and 86 were diverting via Wesley Street and a shuttle bus was running from Leeds City Square to Malvern Road.
