Middleton-based West Yorkshire Pet Ambulance is set to launch a membership scheme in the new year.
Membership benefits will include:
Transport for up to four veterinary visits per year. Covering routine, non-urgent appointments such as vaccinations/boosters, and general health checks.
Discounted emergency ambulance call-outs.
Members will receive a reduced rate when the pet ambulance is required in an emergency situation.
Discounted medical transfers between veterinary practices. Applicable when pets require monitored transport, including oxygen therapy and continuous patient observation.
By offering a membership option, we hope to open our service to more pet owners and ease the financial stress that can arise during unexpected emergencies.
How it will work:
Clients will be able to sign up via our website by completing a short online form and setting up a monthly direct debit.
Each member will be issued a unique membership number, which they must provide when accessing pet ambulance services.
We look forward to sharing more details as we get closer to launch.
A spokesperson said:
“We’re excited to be working towards the launch of a Pet Ambulance Membership, planned for rollout in early spring 2026. This membership is designed to make our service more accessible, help reduce unexpected costs, and give pet owners greater peace of mind.
“We are excited to introduce a membership that supports both pets and their owners when it matters most.
“It’s important to us that we make the pet ambulance available to everyone, in today’s cost of living crisis unexpected bills in emergency situations can be daunting for pet owners causing significant worry for pet owners. We hope by rolling out the scheme that the ambulance can be around for years to come and provide reassurance to members knowing we are only a phonecall away should their pets need help.”
If you need to use the pet ambulance call: (0113) 460 1615.
Details of all their services can be found on our website: www.westyorkshirepetambulance.com
