Middleton Primary’s happy campers

Middleton Primary School have a strong partnership with Lineham Farm, a children’s charity, and they support the school in a number of ways.

Every year they donate Christmas presents and throughout the year support them by supporting some of their families in school.

This year, Lineham wanted to trial an overnight camp. They asked Middleton Primary to be their ‘guinea pigs’ – and they accepted!

They took 10 Year 6 children, and they were the first to use all the camping equipment. They pitched the tents and set them up for the night (sleeping bag, inflatable mattress, pillow and torches). They then built a campfire and made popcorn and toasted marshmallows!

The whole thing was a great success and Lineham are now going to open up this experience to other schools.
