The Friends of Middleton Park (FoMP) will be holding their annual ‘fun’ dog show on Sunday (11 June 2023).
The show is free to enter and certificates and rosettes will be presented to the top three in each of seven categories:
- Biggest smile
- Waggiest tail
- Prettiest bitch
- Most handsome dog
- Kids cuddliest companion
- Noisiest bark
- Most obedient dog
A Best In Show prize will be awarded chosen from the seven category winners.
The show is sponsored by Jollyes (The Pet People), Tulip Retail Branch, Hunslet, who have generously donated goody bags and prizes, consisting of £10 gift vouchers for the first in each category and a massive £50 voucher for the best in show. Registration is from 12pm and the show itself will run from 1-4pm.
There will also be an agility arena, where dog owners can have a go at putting their pooch through its paces. As with the rest of the show, this is a free activity, but organisers suggest a £1 donation for having a go – all donations will go to support the work of FoMP.
The cafe will be open for hot and cold food and drinks, and the Friends will be selling home-made cakes.
The Dog Show is just one of many events put on by the Friends of Middleton Park volunteers over the summer and indeed throughout the year.
